Solved Bug on Photinia 'Red Robin'

I have discovered these bugs on my Photinia. What are they and should I do something about them?

As they are amongst the flowers I would guess they are some kind of pollen beetle and probably won't do any harm.

Looking at other sites they quote Wiki as it being a pest and say the grubs eat plant roots...

I still don't think I would do anything. I find chafer grubs sometimes but I haven't seen much damage.

A lovely bug. Lucky you! Not quite as pretty as its cousin the Cetonia aurata, the rose chafer but still good to see it, considering the catastrophic decline of insects. See Insects are vanishing at an alarming rate—but we can still save them

I have read the threads and taken on board the contents. I am concerned because I have Brugmansias to one side of it and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis to the other side, my pride and joy collections.

I will just monitor in the meantime.
