Forced to give up an enjoyable retirement activity, I turned to my small garden to compensate. I have been a keen gardener in the past so had a head start, but felt limited by my small garden. Discovering ways to overcome my difficulties added much interest and enjoyment to gardening for me. I have learned that one's life need not be hindered when one door closes - you may have an opportunity to open another!
