Potted acer waterlogged!
Is the pot ceramic or plastic, either way, I'd destroy the pot and not the roots.

Miracle Gro MPC - avoid!
Interesting, I don't see them in my Morrisons and I often go in there, I thought they might just be an online thing as I don't buy much gardening stuff online. I like the storage idea.

What are we doing in the garden 2024
It's ok until they get stuck in your sandwich. Too crunchy really
They're about the only animal around here that doesn't eat the plants or produce or crap on the patio!

Cuttings that root in water
Good idea! I save the empty jars from herbs and spices for rooting cuttings in water. Plenty of room for a handful of cuttings in one of those, and they don't take up a lot of space.

What's buzzing or flying near you 2024 ?
The long tailed tits were looking very sad and soggy this morning. Also had a gorgeous female blackcap and a magpie dunking calciworms in the birdbath.

how to grow herbs
I'm generally rubbish with herbs, apart from the hardy ones like oregano, mint, sage.. but I'm going to get some dill after seeing your photo @Escarpment - it's really pretty.
