Tomato recommendations please
I saw some at the nursery. I left them there because they were a fiver, compared to £1.50 for the others. I might go back tomorrow.

Too many squash and not enough bed!
The lawn didn’t go brown @Tufty … just slightly pale in patches but then I moved the vines to one side then the other from time to time (and when OH cut the grass) and it made no real impact.

What's buzzing or flying near you 2024 ?
A Swollen-thighed Beetle on buttercup. I never saw these in my garden until a few years ago, but now they have become common. Only the males have those impressive thighs.

Sorry I don't know, this is the first time I've bought them (and then googled them afterwards!). They seem to be used a lot in hanging baskets so I guess they'd be safe there? Weirdly the only thing I've noticed getting totally decimated in my garden, by slugs I assume, is a chili plant.

You can wipe it off, there is a small green insect inside, but I've never found them to be a real problem as @pitter-patter says.
