If you can find grafted plants I would recommend those, the grafted rootstock confers vigour and disease resistance. Well worth the premium price in my opinion.

Hello all Just wondering what the expert members of the forum think i should do with this plant. Is there any chance there will be some fruit ?

Yes - they seed very easily too. Many areas are having problems with ash dieback, although we're fairly lucky round here, but it's probably better to remove them. You can certainly try just cutting them back as soon as they appear, but you may find a problem if there's a good bit of root already...

You can wipe it off, there is a small green insect inside, but I've never found them to be a real problem as @pitter-patter says.

It's also about the amount of time for maintaining a garden, and the climate/conditions. I dislike certain colours intensely - pale pink, forget me not blue and that peachy/salmon colour -especially in a bi-coloured flower, so I don't have any of those. The only exceptions are things like...

Ive planted four of my tomatoes and put them in the greenhouse. Ive got another 3 to pot.Do you think Im cramming too many tomatoes into this green house? My concern is if theres not adequate space, Ill get black rot etc...WHat do you think? I suppose I could put the other plants outside in...

Ooh, I've just found this thread... @kindredspirit, your alpines are amazing. I love growing them, but they tend to die on me come wintertime.
