    how to grow herbs

Greek basil from the supermarket will grow into a box ball shape but will die first frost. You also need to make sure that air circulates in the centre or it can go mouldy

    Rat proofing composter

Maybe your compost is too dry? Try watering it every now and again - I've read it should be like a moist sponge, and that's not comfortable for rodents.

You need to put in on a gravel tray so that when you spray/water with rain water this will increase the humidity.

Ours have been in flower for some months now. They do take time to reach flowering size. Ours are indoors in a laundry room and are misted often.
