This little Oxalis comes from just one place in South Africa. Very vibrant colour in the flesh.

Thanks again. The problem I have is finding a nursery that will deliver to the island and when I do they want to rob me for the postage. I'll go 'surfing', blimey, haven't used that word in a while and see what's out there.

Potted on some Cheilanthes sinuata sporelings on the weekend Possibly a bit late in the season, but I was bored They will be kept indoors, so will hopefully keep growing.

Ouch It was just a thought. It is rare, but there is seed that should not dry out or it will lose its viability.

The only worry I'd have is that the laurel hedge will quickly start shading the alpines from the light. So you need to ensure that you use toughies like the plants mentioned above, and don't get carried away and tempted by more 'fancy' alpines or ones that really like sun like sempervivums. How...

I agree with that, I will only buy plants arrived that day or at a push 1 day old, in there Sunday and they had loads of dead and dying Fuchsias.
