Yes - I find it's better to keep all my brassicas together, I net them to keep off pigeons. Also from the crop rotation point of view it makes sense to keep all the same family of plants in one bed.

Does anywhere sell garlic this year?!
Hi im from the island and yep the garlic farm is selling loads of different types and you can buy it direct from them I got some the other day not the cheapist but defo worth it

Yes thanks John, that does help. I am tempted to leave the patch to do it's own thing over winter and then feed and plant up in the spring. In the meantime I think we will try our hand at growing...

Give it a go and see what happens, Lolly. I've grow lots of veg in part shade. They don't do as well, but as long as there is decent light and some direct sun you should get a crop from most...
