Yes I've used them with no complaints. I was recommended them by my Dad who's been using them for years and has no complaints either. He orders his hanging basket plants from them.

Absolutely lovely..... so colourful as well. makes a horse chestnut seem a bit boring!

Keeping on the blue theme, how about a Caryopteris, Heavenly Blue is a good one.

It's going to be (so far) Rosemary, lavender, blue lagoon, winter heather, Palm and bamboo

Ferns and Hostas like shade.Not sure if they will fit in with a Mediterraneanish look though

Its 6 weeks since I put some plants in pure manure - so time for an update.I planted two virtually identical plants one in pure manure (left hand pot - no compost at all) and one in a mixture of compost and manure, which is still pretty manure rich (right hand pot). The results are:-Musa...

Thank you...they are certainly along those lines I think...the only thing I would say is that the leaves on ours have slightly "toothed" edges...I wouldn't mind if they are Teasels...the Goldfinches enjoy them...Thanks...

Leave it until the foliage really dies back @Charlie996, to allow the bulb to gather all its energy for next year

I think I'm going to risk moving them, because I don't really like them where they are. If they come back next year, bonus. If not, so be it. I might tie string around them, so I can find them once they've finished flowering.

That's my chain of thought as well @WeeTam ! Just mix slow release , water gel, growmore with a bit off compost . Call it Planting Magic , put it in a glossy packet and sell it at 10 times the price @CharlieBot as you say its very difficult to do like with like comparisons . But if you do...

I would take out the two conifers, the paving slabs and put down slate chippings. Blackbirds toss bark chips all over the tarmac. Maybe have a two tone effect by using slate chippings in conjunction with another differently coloured stone. I have seen that done to considerable effect. The...

I have seen it used on parking areas and heavy traffic areas on golf courses . Never seen it used on a house lawn as mutt protection. I have 4 big holes in my back lawn , courtesy of Molly. All attempts to secretly fill them in have failed as she digs them back up !

It's not too late for Herbs, easy and quick to grow from seed.Also salad leaf crops like Rocket, Spinach and Lettuce are easy and quick from seed. Same goes for carrots, pea and Runner Beans (up the Trellis), now is the ideal time to sow those. Finally I would suggest courgettes to fill up any...
