00000000000000000000000000034099Apologies Victoria, posted this before I saw it was your thread, thought it was a free-for-all. Weed it out by all means.Had a walk down the garden -- and up the canyon.IMG_0594.JPG Approaching on the public footpath, once you´ve crossed the acequia my garden is on both sides.IMG_0595.JPG Water sluice-gate on the left, canyon straight ahead. Way down on the right is an ancient ruin where the earlier incumbents lived.IMG_0596.JPG Another sluice-gate, the garden goes down about 150 feet to the river, (but I can´t), the aceqia winds its way up the canyon --IMG_0597.JPG As far as I can tell, the rocks top left mark the boundary -- it´s all pleasantly vague.IMG_0599.JPG looking up into the Sierra Nevada.IMG_0603.JPGThe river is directed into a large lake behind the wall, and behind the rusty iron door a big tap controls the outflow.IMG_0607.JPG There´s enough snow up the Sierras to last us through ´til the rain begins again. My oranges are full of snow!
