Are there any more that have come up like that? if it's the only one then mark the area with a brightly coloured cane or rock and remember to have a look again next year! as it's more then likely just an accident which will go back to normal next year =/ usually things like this are the result of some kind of trauma to the flower bud but it could be a permanent change.
Thanks for the feedback. There are no others like this, but two flowers split from one bulb. I will mark it for next year and see what happens. I can't see any with deformities unless this happened at the bud stage like you said. Can trauma to the flower cause it to stripe like this? It looks very healthy you see. Nice all the same though
