Good morning everyone. I have been awake since 3 am too, must be the weather. Got to blame something. Well this is the end of dry January for those who took part in it. Some may consider it worthwhile to continue dry others will just go out and get wrecked tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry, if it's possible, and most of all safe and well.
    God bless. :wub2:

      Morning early people :)

Wet and windy here, glad I got out for a while yesterday, went over to Lyme Regis with the boy and bought a Mendip Potato stone :)

Have a good day everyone and don't look Ethel.

          Good Morning,

Oh Lordy Lordy! Yesterday was horrible, someone drove into my car, it's ok just a small scratch but still really shock me up. Work was really busy. Today hasn't started too well either my brother was rushed to hospital in the night with his heart. He has wolf Parkinson white syndrome he's on critical care unit, I'm of course like a cat on hot bricks. I'm going in at 11, I hope I can see the heart doctor, his condition has been getting worse & worse. He has an appointment at papworth on 16 February but I'm hoping this can be brought forward, I don't want to be demanding but he can't keep passing out & having funny turns like he's been having it breaks my heart to see him poorly.
I'm hoping to get my box hedge in later between visiting hours! We are suppose to be meeting my favourite great aunt & uncle for dinner tonight he's just been diagnosed with Parkinson's, Hang on I've just realised that's 3 horrid things, things are about to get better (every cloud has a silver lining/positive mental thinking!)
Sounds like you are a poor lot too not sleeping & in pain I hope you all feel better soon best wishes & big hugs. :grphg:

Blimey Beckie, are you related to Jack McH by any chance?

Hope that's the 3 things over with now :fingers crossed:

@Beckie76 - I had someone drive into me and although the damage to the car was very small, the impact on me was greater. I can totally empathise :grphg: So sorry to hear about your brother; such a worry! Good luck speaking to the Dr :grphg: Sorry to hear about your great uncle too :grphg:
Now: be gentle with yourself! When life throws these things at us we can be so focussed on others that we forget it is times such as these that we need to take a little special care of ourselves; otherwise they overwhelm us. :grphg:

@Becky76 two weeks ago someone stove in the entire back of the carrier I bought a few months ago. Got it back from the collision place and the vehicle looks brand new.:spinning:

@liliana I too am suffering with a sore back which I deserved for trying to manipulate and manhandle a 25k bag of bird seed. It is taking forever to get better and it is so frustrating as it slows me down. Know that I do TOTALLY sympathise.:grphg:

Oh, just looked at the time. I have 11 minutes before 8 so I must get down to the kitchen and get some bread dough started while my Corrie street is playing. We run 5 episodes on Sunday mornings.

@"M" thanks for your kind words :grphg:. I had to get that off my chest this morning! The hospital staff were wonderful & the ward spotless. I wasn't able to speak to the doctor but I did speak to the staff nurse, she's doubtful that he has wolf Parkinson white syndrome as the extra 'motorway' in his heart hasn't any sign of usage:scratch:, but there is something not right, his nerves around his heart are very sensitive which is some of the problem. He's been sent home with a heart monitor which he has to use as soon as he has a funny turn/irregular heart beat, he then rings the ward & sends the readings across! Very clever! Anyway now it's a waiting game, such a worry. Glass of wine & a pudding for me tonight I think! :)

                            Aloha everyone,

@Beckie76 sorry to hear of all your woes and hope your brother gets better quickly. :grphg:

In 1974 I got hit by another driver almost outside our house. He was driving on the wrong side of the road on a bend. We both ended up in the ditch with the cars being written off. The police reckoned he was doing 70 m.p.h. at the time and was drunk! I was taken to hospital although I said I was OK (had blood pouring down my face from broken glass). I was affected by it - I was bloody furious!! Particularly when I found out he was just being charged with drunk driving.

I wrote a letter to the Chief Superintendent saying that if they didn't charge him with dangerous driving I would take them to court for perverting the course of justice. :paladin: He lost his licence for 2 years and got 6 months in jail. :blue thumb:

It seems as though we were all up at three o'clock. I had been handling emails from 1.30 and then popped onto GC for an hour or so. Then continued do emails until I had to start preparing for today's students.

Somehow Sarafi managed to creep in during all the confusion. He's not very good at hiding himself as he went into the bedroom and started miaowing like mad :snork:

Keep well and have a great day

                            Aloha!
