Please help :( Pest i.d.

Hi all, I have been woken up a few times around 5.45am by scratching noises in the loft/walls. I have just been up to investigate and found a cluster of white balls in the middle of a layer of insulation. Pics to follow.
Does anyone know what might/mite be occuring?
There is also a patch of insulation lifted near to the gutter edge. I am too scared to push it back down until I know what might be under it

 

I think you might have furry little friends in your loft..... the reason I say is due to the weather being so wet. I have had field mice in, its amazing that they can squeeze in through a hole the size of a point of a pencil. Photo's will help and I am no expert

That's why I was scared to go up there . I don't think it's a Wendigo. I think it is only a Chupacabra. Just going to download 2 pics to my pc

Look a bit like tarantula eggs to me, is there any webbing up in the loft?

 

I think @Apple Blossom is correct in saying wall insulation, but it has obviously been moved there
