Another grey day today with spells for fine drizzle and a breeze. The temperature during the day stayed in the middle 40f's but I notice that now the temperature is 51f and the pressure reading is 1006mbs. I'll be keeping an eye out for the forecast winds that might come my way tomorrow.:coffee:

Leaden grey skies here, windy as usual but a very mild start at 9c for the 1st of Feb.
Gales are forecast for later in the day (again!):rolleyespink:

Grey, bit windy, dry (so far) but not looking like it will stay that way long.

Sounds like we are in for another massive gale. Been lashing overnight and wind really getting up again. Spent ALL DAY yesterday splitting wood from the fallen White Beam which came down a few days ago. Only about 1/10th of the way through it. God knows what we'll do if another tree comes down c/o "Henry" as there is no room left to store any more wood!

I'm just catching up . @silu I'm so sorry to hear about your tree  but I'm pleased that you are safe & no one else was hurt. You won't need to buy any firewood for sometime by the sounds of things! I hope you can get the fence repaired so the horse can get back out.

Very windy here, I'm fretting about my girls (hens) Kev has a pile of paperwork to do later so he's going home at lunchtime, at least he will keep an eye on them. :dbgrtmb:

Here the weather is and has been beautiful, but, also terrible for my peach trees. The lows are in the high 40's and the highs in the low 80's without a cloud in the sky. My trees think it is spring already and will bloom within two weeks. We still have 2 months before danger of frost is past and the long range weather forecasts are showing freezing weather off and on for at least the next month.

Here are a couple of photos of our poor old tree which didn't withstand Gertrude. Hopefully the other very very old trees (Beech) will cope with Henry that's due to be giving it some tonight. IMG_1871.JPG IMG_1870.JPG

Hope they are ok. Mine are all total wimps and know what is happening with the weather before the Met Office does! They all go and huddle together in their coop if it is: a) too windy; b) too wet; c) too hot; d) no sign of tidbits for miles

Quite a nice reasonably bright morning with very little breeze. As we approached mid day the winds started gusting strongly and the clouds were racing across the skies. Today was Bin Day in our area so when driving around you had to dodge, and keep an eye out for, Bins blown over or travelling along the pavement or the road!! Luckily, my Grove is sheltered so our Bins stayed put. The gusting winds got stronger until around 3pm and then they gentled down and there's only a gentle breeze at the moment. The temperature is 46f and the pressure reading is 1012mbs.:coffee::snork:
