Taking Dog out for first walk before dawn this morning, saw something in the road and investigated - a bag of burglars tools. Somebody was up to no good last night and panicked for some reason.

Local beat officer calling to collect it shortly. At this time of year some people wouldn't notice if their sheds had been broken into until the weekend at the earliest, although some don't bother reporting minor shed break ins, so the police miss the bigger picture. On Monday I got a 'neighbourhood alert' email warning of a spate of break ins in our area. Dog walkers spot all sorts of stuff.

More yawn yawn than wakey wakey for me. Spent most of the night clearing out emails because I was unable to select more than one at a time to delete  But all is now well....I think... :)

Going to be spending my day doing the mundane chores as changing bed sheets and washing so that tomorrow and Sunday when the electric rates are low, I can bake and have fun in the kitchen.

I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day..:)

                Good afternoon fellow WW'ers :)

@moyra - how lovely of Steve to treat you to flowers and a carvery; pity it didn't live up to its usual standards for you. Glad you had a lovely birthday

@shiney - good luck at the dentist (although, by the sounds of it, I should be wishing you luck in just getting there)!

When I lived in a town, I used to take Oz out at all hours (town lighting is a wonderful thing :heehee:). Now, I tend towards walks that early in the summertime.

Indeed! Like owls taking their dogs for their early morning constitutional ...

Wishing you all a good day ahead; miles of smiles xxMxx :)

I left home half an hour before my 11.15 a.m. appointment (it's only two miles) just in case there were holdups for traffic and the level crossing. No real holdups and I was out of the surgery at 11.14 a.m. with a clean bill of health. :blue thumb:

                        Aloha everyone,

Quiz this evening. Team round here for lunch, setting hall up and doing the catering for 100 people (ploughman's - a platter for each team will have three different cheeses, pork pies, tub of houmous, bowl of tomatoes, celery, pickles and butter) at 2 p.m. and back there again at 6.30 p.m. to double check the sound and projection equipment and lay out the table quizzes. One of the helpers will be bringing the French bread, already cut into chunks and in plastic bags, at 7 p.m. :phew:

I'll be there :blue thumb: Just got to get into my Lycra. :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

Goooood morning all GC WW'ers :spinning:

Well, well, well!!!! If the GC males are going to turn out in Lycra ... might be worth a GC outing: I'll referee :heehee:

Oz and I have been out and about early today and met another new friend-to-be. I always enjoy meeting new people and this particular one had an 8 month old beagle puppy :wub2:

I'm pinned to the house today waiting for a delivery. My bread machine finally gave up and has gone to the electrical haven in the sky (well, local tip actually) having given me 11 years of faithful service. It only cost me £14 in a sale and I only bought it then to see if I would get any use out of it :heehee: So, Mr "M" has ordered me a new one (and outrageously expensive by comparison) and I have to wait in for it to arrive. Quite excited (how sad am I!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:).

I've put the slow cooker on with a hearty stew so all I need to do now, while I wait, is ... please myself! So, hobby time it will be.

Miles of smiles to one and all xxMxx

PS @shiney Good luck tonight
