I ordered just one seed packet from Thompson and Morgan and they sent me a 8 separate pieces of junk mail as well as an invoice in large bubble envelope

    Why? So much waste...

Plus you can look forward to receiving copies of their Spring/Summer/Autumn x Seeds/Plants/Bulbs catalogues.

I assume they get paid to put all that mumbo jumbo in with the order, probably more than make up for the fact you only wanted one packet.;)

Most companies do it now, even magazines contain all sorts of unwanted advertising in the form of added leaflets, which usually fall out.

        Agreed!
But, think laterally ... you *could* now keep a chicken or three on your allotment :chicken: ... and all those flyers *could* be shredded and used in the chook droppings tray ... just saying

And that is my favourite four letter "F" word! :heehee:
Can the "logs" be made with glossy paper? :dunno:

Yes, but it doesn't stick together very well (discard thick glossy covers), so best made with a mix of different types of paper (junk mail, newspaper, Argos/supermarket/seed catalogues, small amounts of cardboard), but newspaper is the best. Pallets, skip wood, paper logs and what I've got using my chainsaw has been about 80% of our heating fuel this year, 10% has been buy 2 get 1 free cheap coal from Wickes bought with 20% off vouchers (subscribe to emails) and remaining 10% from energy supplier.

I get most of my seeds via my subscription of the Amateur Gardening Magazine which gives nearly 40 seed packets of different varieties from now until the Autumn. Otherwise, I buy from Seedaholic or Nicky's Nursery for special seeds such as Tomatoes or desirable border plants.:ouch1::snork:

EBay for me recently. Basic packaging, no leaflets just all sent next day in a jiffy. Most come free p&p and are cheap as chips too :)

I still get very large very glossy very expensive catalogues from seed company's I used 6 years ago . Must cost them a fortune posting them.
Ebay is my favourite place for seeds , but this year with all the special T and M £1 offers etc , I have bought most from them . Plus I am the unique person on GC who does not have one problem with T and M delivery or quality , they must like me
