      No, I don't think walking away is leaving, just exiting a debate.
      Too many ways to misinterpret some of these sayings.


      I will post my seed sowing in the what are we doing in the garddn today and as I have done in the past if I had something to mention. I really am too lazy to post it in 2 places....and my typos can be rather tiring..:pcthwack:

        It's a case of different strokes for different strokes, I guess.:dunno::snork: We [Admin] do our very best to help and cater for different requirements. You could, Tracy, post a thread as a sowing Diary but it would eventually, if you were the only one "writing" it be lost in the myriad of different threads within the main forum.

          I just think about i want to know what others sowing which seeds Today, so if someone have a good idea to this kind of thread. If i only write my seed sowing diary, then i can't find it tomorrow:)

            Walking away from this topic is what I meant, and walking away for the first time too Zigs..lol...you nanah :lolpt:

            GC rules are fine Zigs, I don't have my own rules or world view either.

            I maintain that what I wrote in my first post in this topic is true and should not have been disagreed with, members here are free to post what they wish as long as its within the parameters of the forums rules and guidelines, just the same as everyone else already does.

            Yes, sometimes a topic can be a repeat of something already there, maybe also a multiple repeat that's what forums are in essence. But sometimes a new topic can have a different slant on the same subject and become popular because of it, so it swings both ways really.

            If Tracy posted a topic she could always add it to her favourites here at GC, a wonderful board feature as part of the forum that I myself and no doubt others use too (Just click the bookmark at the bottom of any post). She could then keep track of it, even if it did fall down the page a little. On the other side of the coin if it becomes popular you could ask a staff member to perhaps sticky it, I'm sure they would be more than happy to accommodate you.

              For the record ladies and gents, as the admin team saw it a request was made and in our efforts to decide how best to accommodate that request a number of potentially suitable suggestions were put forward. At no point has any member of staff stated that a new thread cannot be started, and indeed if there is still a need or a desire to do so, then please feel free. If that thread then takes off and proves to be popular and/or helpful, and there is a desire to have it made into a sticky, then just ask any of the staff and we will be happy to help.

              Can I also remind everyone that the staff team here are entirely voluntary, therefore we have nothing to gain from limiting the amount of threads posted, or restricting what is posted (providing of course that the posts are within the boundaries of the site rules).

              We are lucky to have an excellent membership (yes, each and every one of you!) who are not only very responsible but who are also very pro-active themselves in keeping things running well, and contributing positively to the site for the benefit of all. I assure you that the staff team want nothing more than to see that continue, and we remain happy to help.
