We are practically neighbours :blue thumb:

You'll find the GC gang are a good lot, and as well as offering good advice, are generally always willing to offer cuttings or seeds. I am no exception to that, so if you see me mention something I am growing that I can nick seeds or cuttings from, don't be shy about asking.

Hold your horses Tracy! It's too early for tomatoes and courgettes. I'd wait 4 to 6 weeks. The other thing is (not trying to dampen your enthusiasm) you have too many tomato seedlings, they get to over 6ft tall and 2 ft wide so unless you have that sort of space in your garden I'd thin them out- just keep the strongest looking seedlings. I tend to sow just three or four seeds in a 2.5" pot hoping two will germinate - then thin them out to keep just one. I'm only growing nine plants in total in my greenhouse this year.

I know, just can`t control, since already bought lots of seeds

Will send some to friends, and listen your suggestions to kill some weak one,
Actually, that is only part of seedlings:wallbanging:

I am doing neither of those this year, but I would say that you are looking to start somewhere around the last week in March.

Perfectly natural to have your enthusiasm get the better of you - I am sure we were all the same when we first started gardening (I know I was like a bull at a gate when I started); you will get used to it all before you know it. You are doing the right thing too, by asking questions here.

I grow hundreds, and haven't sown a single seed yet.

Checkout the GC tomato growing thread.
