      BEER BREAD-bread machine

      2 tbspn oil
      1 cup beer
1/3 cup water (I substituted beer)
      3 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt (I use sea salt)
      2 1/4 tspn yeast
Put the breadmaker on dough setting. Then shape into rolls or loaves or whatever. Let rise again. Bake at 350f for 18 to 20 minutes

The reason I use all beer is because our small cans hold 1 1/3 cups. I have altered this recipe to use up a can of guinness.

      3 tbspn oil
      1 can of guinness
      2 tspn salt
      4 tbspn sugar
      4 cups flour
      3 tspn yeast

or if you like guinness go back to original recipe - the bread dough gets half the can and you get the rest :heehee:

        Evening later people :)

Quiet day on account of still aching from work, but did manage to prime the 17 century window i'm restoring :)

Oh, and made a nice moss garden :)

              Morning early people :)

Overcast and windy here, but not cold for the time of year.

Floodwater has finally gone down so in the workshop after breakfast

              Have a good day everyone:)

                    Good morning fellow GC WW'er

I've been having a peek and must say I really enjoyed browsing around. I especially liked your display of daffodils :spinning:

                    :heehee:

:ThankYou: As an aside, my mother used to drink Guinness (Christmas and birthday .. and as her birthday was Boxing Day ... :th scifD36:  2 consecutive days? ... :hate-shocked: she was a binge drinker!!! :thud: ) and was adamant it was a "food" and not a drink

Looking forward to seeing your photos :)

Great news! What are you working on in the workshop? Are you making any more cold frames this year?

Crikey, you've achieved more than I have this morning ... must go out and top up the feeders :blue thumb::blue thumb:

Glad you are improving. So, tell me; how's the weather?

Healing vibes for all who need them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

                        Good day all.

Have finished catching up with reading new posts. Read the news, what little there is. Will be starting up the breadmakers to make some guinness bread for my friend in the home, some hot bread for OH and friends and will be listening to my show - Corrie - 5 episodes in a row every Sunday morning... :)

Well, my back isn't doing too well but have another treatment due tomorrow and again on Thursday. If it isn't improving by then I shall have to go for an X-ray.

On the up side, I've been shopping around for our insurance renewals (house and contents and two cars). The increased renewal quotes, for all of them with one company, came to £93 :rolleyespink:.

I managed to get them down by £27 for the two cars but told them it wasn't good enough. I've now accepted quotes from another company, for the two cars, that is £104 less than the renewal notices. :blue thumb:

Mrs Shiney's car is covered fully comp, no-claims protected, legal cover, £100 excess, courtesy car etc. for £171 :hapydancsmil:

I'll continue shopping around for house cover tomorrow. :)

                                Good Evening Folks,

I haven't been able to find 'yawn yawn wakey wakey' until now! Where's it been?

We had a lovely meal last night I had Goats Cheese, Crab Au Gratin, chips & salad,, Tia Maria cheesecake (no cream @'M' :heehee:) followed by (drum roll please......) Irish coffee! It was absolutely blinking delicious! Every mouthful was just wonderful! :hapfeet:.
A few words were exchanged about working a little too much & the importance of quality time together, I think I have very calmly made my point! :fingers crossed:
Today we had to work but we are heading in the right direction, the show is on Thursday, to be honest I will be glad when it's over! :yay:

So enough of that! I cleaned out the girls today & we did some digging/worm gobbling! :heehee: I will just let you know I didn't eat any worms!!! :rolleyespink:

I'm just making cottage pie for supper, so all in all a good day.

I hope you are all keeping well & have had a lovely day :hapydancsmil:
