    Oh, oh!,

I'd try the granary option, but not with a max-sized loaf (so you have a bit of "juggle-room"!)

Just checked, and it's the same program for Granary loaf and Wholemeal loaf. Sounds a safe bet  I only do 400g loaves anyway.

Well, I made a 400g loaf, using 250g Wholegrain flour and 150g of white flour, and it's girt lush :)

Any further joy with GF bread making?

I used a Helen's White Sandwich Mix yesterday in the breadmaker. It turned out nice, but hasn't kept fresh too long. I just had 2 slices for lunch and it's verging on stale already.

Also, I use a recipe from one of the threads on this forum for a standard white loaf which always works amazingly! But I used to make raisin bread for my daughter (Must've been in my morphy richards booklet as I don't have the recipe anymore :( )
Can anyone advise how much raisins I could add to this recipe to make raisin bread for her please?:
          Rapid Bake Programme:
          1 & 1/4 tsp yeast
          515g flour
          1 & 1/4 tsp salt
          1 & 1/2 tblsp sunflower oil
          1 & 1/2 tblsp sugar
          350ml tepid water

I prefer this recipe as she is dairy/soya allergic so it's nice and plain for her

            @Snowbaby

No real idea but whenever I make a loaf with sultanas, I use my cupped hand (only one!) to measure them with.

I bought a cheap one (£14 in a sale) on the basis if I didn't get much use from it, I hadn't wasted too much money.
When the family were younger, I did use it most days (even we wouldn't get through one large loaf per day) plus made cakes in it.
That £14 bread machine was really put through its paces and lasted me .... 11 years!!!!! It gave up the ghost the other day and Mr "M" has treated me to an all singing, all dancing, new one which arrived today :hapfeet:

i use one of these. its amazing how much sugar and salt is in bought bread. it takes a little while to get used bread without the sugar and salt but worth it.

I use my Cuisinart breadmakers for dough beatings only. I haven't used them to actually bake anything in ages. But these machines are brilliant at getting the elasticity where it should be.

Sounds like others here also make up their own recipes. All fun stuff :)

Quite! But I think when it comes to the health benefits of home made bread it's a "shooting yourself in the foot" scenario ... I can eat far more of it! :heehee:

Well get a wiggle on  we're all sat here waiting for a sample :coffee:

Bought a secondhand Morphy Richards from the local hospice shop today for £12, looked like it had only been used a handful of times if that and it came with everything it did new.

My first loaf, a ready mixed bag of Hovis Granary which 99p Stores were selling a few months ago at 2 bags for 99p! (well out of date now but still good!) I had to leave out 1/3rd though as the breadmaker says the maximum loaf size is 1.5lb but the bag states it would make a 2lb loaf so I also left out 1/3rd of the water and to my surprise it came out good, a bit squished though when I turned it out onto the rack...
