Aldi cheap fleece cloche tunnel

Tomorrow is Aldi grow your own special buy, want to get one of this cheap fleece cloche tunnel?

Hi @Tracy_x go for it! I bought one last year it was really good. I bought a lot of their plants & garden equipment last year & I was pleased with everything I bought .
I know Aldi seems to differ between stores but ours in Bury St Edmunds is great

@Tracy_x , yes that will be really useful too I have several different Cloche made from various materials, they are really useful & in my opinion you can never have too many!
I popped in Aldi last night for a loaf of bread & noticed they have a lot of packets of plants, they had the same last year & I had some good results from those you might want to have a quick peep! Happy shopping!

 

Aldi's £3.99 fleece tunnels are 3m x 0.45m = 1.35m2 = £2.96/m2

Wilko £5 fleece tunnels are 2m x 0.75m = 1.5m2 = £3.33/m2

But I got my Wilkos fleece tunnels when they were reduced to 10p each (7p/m2), unfortunately there were only 4 left to put in my basket:

 

Don't have Wilko near me, 75 cm is a little better than 45 cm, can protect 2 lines

 

I buy Aldi's seed and potting compost every year just to start seeds off with. It's the best I have found so far for this purpose.

Normal multipurpose would do the job but I have found once multipurpose is riddled to use with seeds, there is too much waste. I riddle the aldi seed compost too, but there is very little waste.

I bought 10 x 20 litre bags for £14.90 this morning.

Aldi's are also doing a poly tunnel I'm not sure from the photo if it has holes in the poly or not. I already have a poly tunnel with holes to allow air/rain through and it's quite good. I have made my own fleece ones which are also ok but the fleece is a little fragile. Could do with another cloche so not sure which of Aldi's to go for poly or fleece? If the poly one has holes them probably that 1 but has anybody got experience of a poly one without holes. I could see condensation and lack of being able to water being a problem but maybe I'm wrong?

That would be great thanks @Tracy_x . It's described as increasing humidity so that would suggest no holes which I think could be a bit iffy.

 

@silu it is no holes, but i think can lift up the both ends to allow air, and it is easy to move it

It seems have 2 kinds of, fleece can allow air

 

Last year I bought a cloche from Aldi which was a net version, that was very good but I seem to remember it being later in the season
