Good morning @shiney I have visited Chiropractors ,Osteopaths,Acupuncture, had X Rays ,been scanned more times than a supermarket label;), it usually lasts for about 3 to 4 weeks, and at times I could not get off the floor, and honestly the only thing that works for me is hot and cold treatment, flannel which I keep in the freezer ,and a hot flannel ,10 minutes of each every hour, but since I have been taught to fly I have been alright, its the muscle spasms that cause the pain with me,the trouble is when I feel good off I go like a 20 year old,and Mrs Woo says just be careful and I say I have never felt better, done a bit of pick axing on Friday and sure enough had a job to get out of bed yesterday, ,anyway enough said sincerely hope that this is the first day of your impending recovery my friend:smile:

      Thanks @wiseowl and @Trunky

Woo, hot works OK for me but cold doesn't :noidea:

Of course, it doesn't help that I have spinal problems as well but the frustrating thing is that I can't get out in the garden to get things ready for Open Day. Losing a few weeks of work time is very difficult to catch up. I've usually cut the grass a few times by now. The veg plot is usually dug over and composted. I don't usually do that anyway, but Michael does - and he's been ill (knee problems and now he's got the flu )

Trunky, you know what it's like with a big garden. If you don't keep on top of it then it's very difficult to catch up.

Fortunately, the new bed (55' x 4') that we started last year won't need too much attention this time. Down the end of the garden I've now dug out the six 60 year old rambling roses and removed all the posts, supports and wires. The rabbit/rat  holes have been filled in and now we've got to decide what to put in the bed. A lot of our shrubs and bushes are getting out of hand and need cutting back or removing - but they're old friends. The Euphorbia mellifera has now grown to 7ft high and 7ft diameter :rolleyespink:

      Ah well, that's life! :)

Be careful. It's surprising how easy it is to knock your hand. You normally don't even notice it, but you will if you do it now! :rolleyespink:

          Good Morning folks :hapfeet:
I seem to have the energy of a runaway train this morning! I've been up since the crack of dawn I think I've cleaned/sorted & organised almost every room! God it was dusty, I've only been flicking the Hoover round & keeping on top of the basics whilst work has been so busy. Kev has gone outside apparently in fear that he might be scrubbed or put in the bin! :roflol: He's cleaning out the cars & can....they are also grubby.

Food shopping next & a few other bits to do in town, then it's the ironing pile & gardening....I'm not sure that will be the order that those chores happen. :heehee:

I hope those of you who are feeling poorly/in pain all start to feel better soon. :grphg:

Those of you who can garden I hope you are getting lots done :dbgrtmb:

                  Good Morning,

Very cold frosty morning here, but the sun is shining, I love mornings which are frosty & bright :dbgrtmb:.

I'd like another day off today so I can sort the garden out.....that's not going to happen, I must go into work unfortunately.

I have a pair of blackbirds in the garden, much to the hens disgust! Veronica chases them everytime she sees them!

I hope those of you who are feeling poorly/in pain soon feel better, hugs to you all :grphg:

Morning all. Hope you are all well, or feeling better.

A bright, frosty morning here. Took the bandages off the hand last night, it's still sore, but I've stopped taking painkillers now, so the recovery is progressing. :)

I'm going to try to make the most of this sunny day and go out for a walk later, it'll be great to get out of the house again and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

Have a good day and don't do too much leaping about. :hapfeet:

                        Aloha everyone,

Very frosty and very sunny

I'm feeling somewhat better today and am hoping it's an improvement and not the drugs. :)

I want to go out shopping today and shall see how easy it is to get into the car (getting out has been more of a problem) but I think it will be OK.

Barry is being hassled by the Council so has asked for help. They are reviewing his housing benefits and want a list of all his savings, with original copies. They've sent him a list of what they think are his savings - from forms that we have filled in over the years. Of course, they're totally wrong. Including the error that they made the other year where I gave them a bit of a beating over (through their CEO, who was very helpful).

They've made the same error this time (someone in their finance department needs some serious retraining) of valuing his 'shares' (the ones he was given when Lloyds was bailed out by the Government). They've obviously gone onto the LLoyds website to get the value of the shares, misread it, and valued his holdings as £7,811 instead of £78.11 :gaah:. Exactly what they did last time! :hate-shocked:

I've now got to check everything they've done. :phew: You'd think that having been born disabled, registered as unable to work, been a good Council tenant for all his 40+ years they would have got him on a list of those not to be pestered. They pick on him regularly but never seem to bother the druggies they have in the flat above him!

Make the most of the sunshine

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

                                Good morning WW'ers et al

Had a bit of a lazy start to the day so Mr "M" took Ozzy for a walk this morning. Not a problem, until he returned and Ozzy had a rabbit carcass between his jaws which he simply will *not* let go  Needless to say he isn't coming in with it!! So, while Ozzy is at the "trance" stage of looking at it in awe and wonder and a glint in his eye which says: "It's mine; All mine! Bwahaha" I've sent Mr "M" out to get something far more highly prized so I can tempt him away from it.

Lovely lunch/dinner/midday meal out yesterday. It's the last week of the year they will serve a Sunday roast because visitor season begins tomorrow.

Had a pair of mallards fly over the garden this morning; they looked magnificent! First I've seen flying overhead since I moved here and I've missed them (had them regularly in the old house).

Glorious sunshine today :wub2:and really fills the spirit with optimism and ...

... emphasises the need to clean the outside windows :hate-shocked:

@Trunky - delighted to read your hand didn't drop off when you undid the bandages. Speedy healing :dbgrtmb: <--- oops sorry .... :blue thumb:

@shiney - Barry is very lucky to have you! Glad you are finding a small improvement to your back.

@Beckie76 - pity work is getting in the way of gardening, but, you'll enjoy the garden all the more when you do get to spend a bit of time there :spinning:

Healing vibes and miles of smiles for all xxMxx
