Thanks both :) buying plants is definitely my vice at the moment, I have to control myself.

But, speaking of that 'control' nonsense, yes Anthony we have a few Pelargoniums now 'Lord Bute', Pelargonium sidoides and a white one that smells of apples.

      Hi Jack,

The apple scented one is Pelargonium Odoratissimum.

Another one to look out for is P. Tomentosum which has lovely large " furry" leaves. There are two types, one is mint scented with green leaves and the other has brownish blotches on the leaves and is chocolate scented.

Well done Jack. I managed to catch up on this today - looks like it all worked out really well for you! Wondering what Monty did now I think back, aside from suggesting few but bigger plants... Your plan came off without a hitch :)

How did the work on the house pan out?

Thank you Loofah :) It pretty much all came together, although there was lots we couldn't do (we actually promised a whole front white garden - only a tiny window area - too but that will have to wait for this summer).

The flat took another 3 months to finish from that point but it is now all pretty much finished and our life is back to some normality. And I'm starting to plant it all again! :D

I watched this last night on catchup, I really enjoyed it. What a great collection of ferns, but how on earth do you keep them watered? Has Chris set up some gizmos to help with that, I'd be interested to know?

I also enjoyed seeing the other garden, hardly "small" though and to be honest it was nearly there in terms of design all Monty had to do was encourage the lady to get on with it and finish.
