Perhaps not economically, Shiney, but the way the Schengen agreement has fallen apart so easily and the main receiving countries citizens have changed their views on welcoming the refugees I think the political grounds are looking a bit shaky
Sounds like you've been reading the The Express, they're continually running stories like that, and reading their readers' comments the readership appears to consist of 99% conspiracy theorist, swivel eyed loons.
I believe the union will fall apart if we one of the major players leave. Many of the member countries are weak and don't contribute like the bigger ones do . I believe the other countries will follow our lead and the union will crumble. It is of course one very very scary prospect but do we just carry on as we are ? I for one hope not .
I only ever read the Express for the weather forecast, everything else is just fantasy. As to the BBC, well, they have their own agenda that is very far from unbiased. I do however think it could be a bit of a shock to the EU if we were to vote "out". The remaining members that run it, ie Germany and France, would never admit it was a problem, but I just wonder what the population of those countries would be thinking? If Britain can get out, maybe we can too????
Where will it all end? http://southendnewsnetwork.com/news...nt-residents-trying-to-enter-essex-illegally/
Pete thats my sentiments. If we bail then if the remaining countries stay in they will I assume have to make up the financial deficit left by us not paying in... There are so many weak countries and way way weaker than us so how will they manage to find the money ? I honestly believe the EU will collapse if we leave.
With modern technology headquarters could be anywhere. Likewise, it would be a bit of a shock for any "in" voters too
You can pay about a tenner a year to legitimately lease a UK postal address which then allows you to register a limited company in the UK. Small companies often do it to give themselves a prestigious address when really they're working in their spare bedroom at home.
Some massive PLCs create a much smaller holding company as a limited company. I worked for 10 years for a well known outsourcing company that is a plc. Some of the contracts they wanted required an entirely different business classification (SIC codes) so they just created the limited company as an entirely different company. Some clever legal process meant the plc owned shares in the limited company, butthe Ltd was still an entirely separate entity. The two companies didn't even trade with each other. But the plc could still capitalise on its investment because it owned controlling shares in the Ltd. It took them literally about a month to plan and execute this manoeuvre, from being advised of what was needed to win the contract, to having a fully staffed office and a brand new company ready to go. The way they achieved it so quickly was to simply sell certain operations to the new company, then tupe the staff across. I might have missed some of the detail. I was close to management at the time, but didn't fully understand all the legal side, but it was all legitimate.
Although the Limited company stands alone it can be related to another company and used to channel business. This is used by a lot of sole traders (self-employed) who want to do work for large companies that will only deal with Limited companies. The Limited company is the 'front' that does the dealing and is then charged by the sole trader, or an external other Limited company, for providing the service/goods.
