    Aloha everyone,

I enjoyed yesterday's tournament but didn't do particularly well. Sitting on the chairs for a long time (seven hours with a short break in the middle) was a bit painful but I'm feeling a lot better this morning. I just made it into the top third in the country but it would have been a lot higher if I hadn't messed things up in the first session

We have sunshine forecast for today and we shall make the most of it. I think that we shall do a little bit of gardening for a change. :heehee:.

I hope to do some mowing but Mrs Shiney wants to fix the big hole in bottom of the mower box first. It's about 7" long and 2" wide. I need it fixed as I want to hoover the driveway with it as it's covered in bits from our conifer and loads of needles from the neighbour's giant larch tree. The needles would all spew out of the box if I tried doing it without it being fixed.

I'll go to Wickes for some more compost and they'll load it into the car for me. Michael is coming again on Wednesday so he can unload it. :blue thumb:

More edging to get done :phew:

This evening we're off to a meeting at an Indian restaurant. It's just an excuse for a paid binge ;) :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

      Good morning,

      :hapfeet:Spring :hapfeet:it's finally here

We had a lovely day out yesterday, I was totally spoilt :hapydancsmil: a few new plants for the garden :snorky: followed by a trip to John Lewis (my favourite shop :dbgrtmb:) hubby bought me (drum roll please) a kitchen Aid kettle, toaster & a very posh free standing food mixer :hapydancsmil: I'm beside myself with excitement :hapydancsmil: I've wanted all three items for about four years but never got round to buying them! Now I need to get baking :phew:.
The weekend is getting closer :hapydancsmil: I have lots to do in the garden & I hope to also see my niece.

      Enjoy your day everyone :hapydancsmil:

@Beckie76 sounds like lots of great smells coming to your kitchen. What time should we all come by? :)

Was up just about every hour last night when the temp alarm hollered at me to come down and fire up the heater again. Rather get no sleep than have frozen seedlings. We are getting a new gas meter early next month and I think I will ask the chap about the pressure not being able to supply the furnace and the heater together...

        Have a safe day everyone!

          Good afternoon fellow GC WW'ers

Had a very busy morning here as I had an appointment first thing. Now that's over, I'm hoping to get a sound night's sleep tonight :phew:
Went shopping afterwards and actually only spent money in *one* shop - unheard of! :heehee: It isn't that there wasn't anything I liked, or could be ticked off my wish-list it was simply, they just didn't feel important in the grand scheme of things today. Well, apart from the cheap paintbrushes I bought ... still not sure why they came out as particularly "important" :heehee: Hey ho!

I think I spotted some sunshine between appointment and shopping but it has disappeared again now, so I'm not doing anything other than watering the new border and that won't happen until a bit later either.

:yay: :yay: :yay: Bravo!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: (I see another autograph is needed) :star:

:heehee: Enjoy your expenses paid meeting

Healing vibes for those in need and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

                Good morning all!
Lovely clear sky and bright moon this morning ... hoping its the promise of a lovely day ahead.
Didn't get the full nights sleep I was hoping for so another early start in the house of "M". I've been productive though and sown some seeds, played around with painting a plastic plant pot, put a loaf on and one laundry load.
I suppose I *could* do the hoovering before His Lordship gets home ... hah! That can wait until later :heehee:
Had to send the girls to bed early yesterday  Naughty Buffy had discovered the loganberry bush and was pecking at the buds, cheeky girl! Later today, before I let them out to free range, I need to knock something up to create a barrier or I'll have no fruits this year.
Very exciting! I have a KA food mixer and I love it. Never realised they did kettles and toasters too. Which colour did you go for?
Healing vibes for all who need them and miles of smiles for all xMx

@Beckie76 Try looking up 'Molly Cake'. It's sugar free, dairy free and can even be gluten free but it is a delicious and moist cake. :hapydancsmil: Freezes well, as well.

                      Aloha everyone,

I only got a little done in the garden as the cold was getting to me. My problem in my groin and down my leg wasn't too bad - until I had a sneezing fit which stressed the muscles and tendon . It took a couple of hours for the painkillers to kick in.

Luckily I was out in the garden earlier and manage to stop a minor disaster (can disasters be minor?). You would have laughed at the spectacle of Sarafi chasing a wren in the greenhouse whilst I was chasing Sarafi. Fortunately I won the race :phew:. He really didn't want to be stopped and struggled quite hard to get out of my arms. Not an easy thing to cope with whilst hopping on one leg!

I carried him to the front garden, he was trembling like mad, and cuddled and stroked him until he calmed down. When he had eventually relaxed I put him on Mrs Shiney's patient's car bonnet which was quite warm and kept stroking him until he fell asleep. Then I went back to the greenhouse to help the wren find his way out. :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day.

                      Aloha!

Morning all. Frost and bright sunshine here.

The return to work went well yesterday, I was knackered by the end of the day though. Must have got a bit out of condition while I was off.

Hope everyone is well, have a good day.

Shiney I was pleased you were there to save the wren from Sarafi, might have spoiled her fun but wrens are rare little creatures these days. We see very few here.

Lovely sunrise WOO, nice to see, we didn't get to see the sun yesterday at all it was so overcast.
Have a great day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God Bless. :wub2:

Glorious day here day......I've just told hubby I can't go into work because I've been sunned off!! :roflol: I got the 'look'! :th scifD36:, I was of course joking.

@"M" oh yes kitchen Aid do lots of 'necessary' kitchen equipment :yahoo:, I 'need' the hand blender next :heehee:. I settled for cream, but I do think the pale blue is gorgeous :blue thumb:. My old food processor will be donated to the village jumble next month, it's at least 20 years old (kevs mum saved up her ciggy coupons to get it for me before we moved into our first house).

I do hope the weather continues into the weekend :dbgrtmb:.

@Trunky I'm pleased your first day back at work went well, I'm sure you will soon be back to your normal condition :dancy:.
