Many years ago I used to grow some tall ones, these days I find going for largest heads easier than going up ladders.

Yes please, I'm not sure if my large head sunflower seeds are too old to germinate, so I've ordered some replacements.

                              Hey lynd
Feel free to Sow when you feel like I my early ones are a bit of risk yet for a few reasons
They could get too drawn and weak before they can go out
They are sown in pots and giants don't always like been in pots because sunflower roots like to go down deep something like 2 feet deep I think so pots might be a bad idea
Also in the pots they could get root bound before it's safe to go out so its just really trying what you feel is right really they was only in two days before they popped up so your not far behind
I also will be sowing some more at the end of April to see what grows best
But if people want to sow the same day we can anything is welcome

Oh cheers! Thought they had more of a wide spread root system so that's great to know, I was reading they don't like transplanting much so think I will try in a biggish pot and put in the porch until I can plant out and stick it next to the washing pole. Have some teddy bears and evening sun so might try one or 2 of them aswell :)
