Alas my 2 x Brugmansia and a number of cuttings didn't survive the winter :( I don't suppose anybody has a spare rooted cutting they would be willing to part with? I am happy to pay P&P etc. unfortunately none of the local garden centres have any.

I checked the roots and plants at the weekend, they were brown and dead - definitely no life left in them. They were over-wintered in the garage.

I bought a sanguinea from my local one a couple of weeks ago, but I'm guessing you want something that flowers in the summer .
Might have a Grand Marnier going, but only just starting into growth.

        PM me if your interested.

Thank you for the recommendation. £14.50 P&P for 1 plant is a little on the steep side.

I overwintered some large plants in my garage, one which I dug up out of the allotment, they all appear to be alive.
I do keep them bone dry, the kind of conditions that a young cutting is not likely to survive.

The garage is probably as cold as outside I guess. Plants were kept above ground level and fleece over the base of the plant and top of the soil.

Obviously it wasn't anything like that big as it was mail order. But they are forked, really strong and ready to grow like the clappers!
