Photos of current blooms - from trees or bushes in the garden or park. What can you see?

Not wishing to compete with 'What's good in April', but it would be nice to see and compare other members' tree or shrub blooms directly. Perhaps it might inspire me to plant one of them for next year.

Can't really go wrong with this:

Nice thing (sort of) about Forsythia is that because it grows so much, you can bring cuttings into the house almost any time of year and they'll bloom for you. This is about three years old from the garden. Planted to hide the neighbour's spring rubbish.

Mirabelle tree. I spotted broad leaves in the grass about four years ago and decided to leave it to grow. Thought it was a pussy willow for a long time but it has much smaller leaves. Last year we got fruit: small orange fruit: bitter (but nice) if you pick them early and sweet if you leave them. Lovely.

We bring cuttings in in the winter. It flowers. I guess you need a gap after the last blooms though.

We bring in branches any time during the growing season and after and they'll flower indoors. As long as the plant wasn't trimmed. You find they don't?

If you don't say the location it is kind of pointless

I can understand bringing them in earlier to force them, but, are you really saying that you've had them in flower say in July or August? That's what I can't get my head around.

No. You have to wait for the little buds to form during the growing season.

Cherry. Similar to the Mirabelle's blooms. We've got two, about 25 yards apart. Which is supposed to be about at the limit for pollination. Incidentally, I've seen a few drowsy bees lately. Earlier this week there was a large bumble bee on our hall tiles that I put outside. In the rain, unfortunately. And today I found a honey bee staggering about outside. I wonder if they're queens looking to set up a new colony.

          Is this allowed?

I guess this is a bloom, or blooms too.

Catkin from our Pussy Willow (at least I think it's a pussy willow). More pistils and ovaries. That's another tree that started life as some tiny broad leaves I spotted among the weeds. I put a cane near it and let it grow.
