    Aloha everyone,

It's yet another lovely sunny day  that is burning off the frost.

I got a lot of mowing done yesterday, all of the front garden and the main garden :blue thumb:. The main front lawn is becoming a nuisance again . The moss has returned and making the mowing very difficult. I had it killed off (as much as one session will do) the other year but it's back with a vengeance this year. I can't get the man in to do it now (best time of year to do it) as it will look a mess for Open Day (it will go black and very patchy). So you lot will have to put up with wandering around on it at the end of next month. :)

@toppington Why not come and join us? You're not too far away :blue thumb: I would guess you're only about an hour away. :) We've got a lot more than a mossy lawn :snork:

We went to see 'Woman in the Van' at the village hall last night. Another superb performance by our National Award winning theatre group.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

Morning all. Frost here too, but it looks like being a lovely sunny day.

The airport run was surprisingly easy yesterday, no traffic problems on the way there or back, the roads were much quieter than I expected. Perhaps everyone stayed at home to do some spring gardening. :dunno:

Hope everyone is well, enjoy the spring sunshine and have a good day.

Good Morning everyone, just walked Amber quite a nice fresh morning out there this morning. Feeling a bit fragile neighbour came home upstairs with company at 3.15 this morning and her dog was yapping its head off and started Amber off. They were clonking around up there like a herd of elephants and then of course the music went on until about 5 ish. Thankfully she does not make a habit of it so I suspect it might have been her birthday or something.
Oh well have a good day all, looks as though it is going to be fine. God bless.:wub2:

          Morning early people :)

No frost here in zone 9a :phew:

Sunny but with a cold wind.

Hoping it'll stay dry enough to get my red onions in the ground :fingers crossed:

The ants have been trying to occupy the clay pot with the Lemon sapling in the greenhouse (nice and warm)

Put that in a tray of water and put an empty "bait" pot in it's place :mute:

It's worked, so I can remove the entire nest and dump it in next doors garden put it somewhere safe :)

Have a good day everyone and don't dream it's over :)

                    Good morning GC WW'ers

@Ian Taylor - ouchie! You really should get it looked at. One of my dog walking friends is having back issues. I met him the other morning and asked how it was; probably shouldn't have as we were just on our way out and Ozzy needed to do his necessaries. Anyway, there followed the lengthy tale of how he had visited the Tate recently (lots of blurb on that) and his back was really playing him up. So, he went to the canteen for a cuppa and asked the girl if there was anywhere at all that was firm that he could stretch out. She directed him to a sofa which he then went and laid on and began doing his physio exercises! "Felt much better after that!" Thing is, he was standing on the pavement mimicking the exercises he had been doing :heehee: The point being, by going to the Dr's, he was sent for physio and learned techniques to bring relief when it plays him up. Got to be worth a shot? ;)

@Trunky ... glad your journey wasn't as bad as expected but .... to more important stuff: the engagement ring!!! Do tell!

@moyra - aww, bless ya! Two bad nights in a row are bound to leave you feeling worn out! Hope you find some calm in the day to bring peace back into your world :grphg:

Yesterday was an out and about day which began with a Jumble Sale in the village. I've been slowly but surely picking up bits of blue and white china for the dining room wall units, only charity stop stuff but the affect is the same. I was a happy person to find 4 blue and white side plates (made by Wedgewood and called Woodland) which will fit in just perfectly along side the Willow pattern plates. Really pretty design, I thought, and at the rip off price of ... £1 (including the lampshade I picked up) :heehee: Bargain! Love Jumble Sales

The frost has gone and the sun is up and that means the day is smiling

Healing vibes going out to those in need of them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

I hope everyone not having a good morning can stretch out a bit and have a much better one!

@"M" ooh, jumble sale, that sounds fantastic! What a bargain!

@Ian Taylor I hope you feel a bit better soon.

@shiney thank you very much for the invite! It sounds lovely and I have looked at some of the previous years photographs and very much admired your lovely garden! I don't have a car and so would be reliant upon public transport to get there. Is there any kind of train station within walking distance do you know?

Its still up the the air you know how councils work, I cant wait to leave, even if I don't get made redundant I will still leave the stress level is unreal moral is at a all time low. Everyone how you speak to wants to leave.
Yet the council still finds money to waste on rubbish.

@Ian Taylor Years ago I was a credit manager in the steel industry and the place was full of unhappy people. I left, did some other jobs (ISO software architect etc) then started my own business. There is nothing worse than starting out each day dreading going to work. I hope you find work that is satisfying and stable.:grphg:
