I think the reason why the media has gone after Cameron on this issue is because he has proven to be a massive great hypocrite. "we're all in it together", except those that have money to hide. Plus a few years ago he publicly had a massive go at Jimmy Carr, and shamed him into paying tax he didn't legally owe. And then it transpires that all along, DC was up to the exact same thing. One rule for him and his likes, another for everyone else, which of course we've always known, but nobody could prove it and DC knew that. At least that is until someone accidentally on purpose leaked some very sensitive documents.
Isn't it the tax payer money I'm voting out/leave, yes i've said it before Not sure if this is right, heard on the radio that the EU is now after our pensions
I tend to think that believing someone is stupid just because they have a different point of view to oneself,............. is slightly stupid.
Until I got this leaflet I didn't realise that less than 8% of EU imports come to Britain while we Export to them 44%. Is that designed to be misleading, or what. I'm assuming that 8% of the output of the other countries in Europe, is a hell of a lot more than 44% of our output.
Indeed. But thinking someone is stupid just because they'd like to give a completely insane person power over their lives is less stupid
Yes Earlier on in their leaflet they say that the EU economy is over 5 times the size of that of the UK. Therefore we import as much as we export. There are lots of things in the document that are patently misleading.
Nope. That is the figure. Yes, we import far more than we export. That includes vital components that make the cars that we produce work. Electronic components for production of electronic products. Energy production equipment. And so on.
Just pointing out that the way it is written, at first glance, you could take it the wrong way, as 8% seems a lot less than 44%.
My local friendly Postman delivered "Dave's Magazine" this morning and grinning at me he said "I bet that's going straight on the Compost Heap without you even reading it!!". I put on my most innocent face......and then nodded vigorously I managed to catch Mr Cameron on the TV as he defended his "financial matters" in the Commons. The real treat was Dennis Skinner [The Beast of Bolsover] who was given the nod to speak by John Bercow. Dennis stood up and fixed his glare on Mr Cameron and asked him to answer a question he had asked a couple of years ago about tax matters regarding a mortgage Mr "C" had had. In that question he defined Mr "C" as "Dodgy Dave" and when he'd finished, John Bercow asked him politely to retract his description of Mr "C" or he could not permit Mr "C" to answer the question. So Dennis got back on his feet, fixed his eyes on Mr "C", and then pointing at Mr "C" said "This man has done more to divide the Nation than anybody else. He's looked after his own pocket. I still refer to him a "Dodgy Dave" adding several other definitions of him while repeating the name "Dodgy Dave" in defiance. So John Bercow, using his Speaker powers, politely asked Dennis to leave the Commons for that session.......which he did!! I nearly choked on my Mug of Tea watching it all!!
You have to admit though @ARMANDII Dodgy Dave has not done anything any PM in the past hasn't done before regarding lining his own pockets. We Could mention T.B. but he's a bit toxic these days
No, you're right, Pete, Cameron is no different to any of the other PM's we've had. I can remember Harold Wilson being alleged to have said "The pound in your pocket is yours.......but once it's out, it's mine" Initially, those were heady days when first in Government but then it all became a Soap Opera with himself and Gordon Brown being the main cast. They probably did more damage to the Labour Party than any one else for decades and I reckon that it could be decades, taking into account that the extremists are now in power, before they've got a chance again. Just as an aside, is it just me or has anyone noticed that since his stand and fantastic speech about the fact that we must keep the Trident and build new Subs in defiance of Corbyn and his Cronies that Hilary Benn seems to have been pushed into the shadows??
OH and you will have to pay more for your holidays, flights are 40% cheaper because we are in the EU. Mobile phone charges will cost 38P a minute more if we leave. Its a mine of information
It just strikes me strange that to leave would be a step into the unknown, which it probably would be, but they know all the bad things that are likely to come, if we were to leave.
