                    Edward Woodward started doing a lot of gigs during and towards the end of the five year run of his hit TV series Callan. He played Callan, a hit man with a conscience who worked for a cloak and dagger government department.

                      I remember Callam from the various satellite channels, and The Equaliser as well. Obviously The Wicker Man is a classic. I just never thought of him as being a singer.

                        Eddie, although American, was friendly with the great Billy Fury (1963)



                        Sadly, Billy was very ill and died not long after this performance in 1982
