Edible weeds

    Hello,
    I'm new to gardening and trying to work out which weeds in my garden are edible. I have tonnes of the attached, could someone tell me what this is please?

    Might be green alkanet, but dont eat it unless you are sure.
    Best to grow something that you know is edible, rather than grazing.

      Welcome to Gardeners Corner, looks like an Alkanet, got medicinal uses, but not considered it as an edible before.

      As in the disclaimer Here make sure you're 100% sure before trying anything, there's a lot of poisonous plants in most gardens.

          Here's my tip. When you're 99% certain that a plant is edible, do many Google searches with the description and "poisonous" in there. There are many poisonous plants that almost perfectly fit the description of perfectly edible plants. As a couple of examples, try searching for flat leaf parsley vs hemlock, or field mushrooms vs death cap. If you're 99.9% sure it's edible, and nothing poisonous matches the description, then you're probably, possibly, onto a winner, but given the toxicity of some plants, anything less than 100% certainty is scary.
