Yesterday was frosty in the morning, occasional hail storms (but I kept mowing ) and then warm and sunny. Frosty and sunny this morning.

Frosty again this morning, that's three days on the trot. I'm still trying to harden things off but it's just too cold outdoors to risk them going out before I leave for work. The only things I've risked are my toughest veggies including the giant onions.

Hi @Everhopeful , at least it's only yellow warning. Could be worse. Just take care if you're out and about.

Well, we still haven't had owt only some rain ( and not enough of that to be honest ) It will be 4 months next week since we had our two frosts of this Winter. Daytime temps have dropped to around 9/10 deg and nights have been around 5 deg.

Yes, yes, nudge over and make room for me @"M" :snork:. We have been relatively lucky so far with sleet and hail and just gentle flurries of snow. Looks like it's on for the day though

How funny you should post this. I've just come in from having a cuppa outside and looking at the trees thinking: oooh look, oak before ash!
The ash at the back of my garden are certainly budding up, just no leaves yet (and this year, I really want them to hurry up because they've almost finished building the pair of semi's behind me :mute: )

There was snow on the hills today and not the best driving conditions, in mist as well. The road leading up to the mountain has sheer drops here and there and no way of keeping a car on the road if it's icy. There are alternative routes, but this road cuts the journey to my daughter's by half an hour. :)

On lower ground it rained most of the day driven on a fresh wind, 7C/45F.
