Do you pinch out the tops?

I don't pinch out the tops no. I do remove leaves though so that light can pass through the canopy.

The perennial question to pinch or not to pinch  I find that Chillies branch very well without pinching . @Jonathan Hind , idea of thinning out the leaves is worth a try :blue thumb: . They have more than enough leaves so reducing by 10%ish (?) will allow light to the lower chillies.
Just noticed the first flower buds on mine !

You can be rough with them. I usually leave most of the leaves at the top but down the stem you can thin it out quite heavily. No sign of flowers on mine yet though ( I'm jealous)

Mine are way behind normal with not a hint of a flower bud. They're not even at a stage for re-potting into their final pots - but not to worry, they'll soon be roaring away and catch up with everyone else.

            :yahoo:Yay!!

My first flowers opened yesterday! These are on the Apache F1 plantlets that hubby bought for me, thinking that we didn't have enough variety of seeds. :thud:

I will be potting them on later today into larger pots, as well as some of the others. I think the Ream are starting to branch, which they tend to do just before starting to flower. The downstairs nursery will soon need to be established!:heehee:

This morning - the money is for reference as to size but it just might closely represent the amount of money I end up spending on just a few plants :heehee:

@wiseowl Are those out in the open? :hate-shocked:

@CanadianLori those are looking really good :blue thumb: They put mine to shame. I'll have to show mine a picture of them to see whether it makes then get their act together.

Why do you have a £50 note @CanadianLori ? I have only had a £50 note once , nobody want to take them in case it's a forgery.
The Chillis I grow only go in the GH late May . I keep them in the house until then . In fact I can pot them up into large planters this weekend as I can free up some room as the weather improves.

@shiney I started mine inside on December 27th and moved them out to the heated greenhouse early March. I couldn't find my tape measure and I figured a Canadian bill wouldn't be much use to show size because most on this forum probably have never handled one so I just grabbed one of the bills I had received in an exchange. @HarryS Didn't realize there could be difficulties with spending them... Should I take those fifties back?

I would change them for £20's Lori and use plastic , I think only drug dealers use the £50 note these days
