                Well I started out with an 850 mini, then bought a massive 1000cc mini, then a mini clubman 1100cc:yikes:, then had a couple of Mk2 escorts, a Mk three,(rubbish), Cortina Mk 3, 2.8 capri, a rubbish cavalier, four varying modeos and now got this, but it aint a patch on my last mondeo, only got rid of it because I was fed up paying £500+ road tax each year.

                    I only past my driving test 5 years ago, my first car was a bmw m3 older type after 4 months i decided i wanted a jag so i went and bought a 2.5 x type well my insurance went from £1700 to £3500 for the year run it for around 4 months on pay as you go insurance,

                    Then i decided to work from the bottom so i went from a 2.5 jag to a 1ltr polo :roflol: what a come down that was, run the polo for a year then got a 2.0 td Peugeot 206 run that for two years and now have the jag insurance now is just over £400 fully comp :).

                      Never really mind paying for the car I like, just hate paying road tax, insurance etc. that I consider excessive.

                        Currently driving a Nissan Qashqai, which was something of a surprise purchase (not least as I was actually wanting to buy an Audi A6 at the time!)

                        55-58 mpg around town, and more on a run; very comfortable, panoramic glass roof and pretty much all the gadgets you could ask for. Service plan costs £19 a month, and it still has a year and a bit of warranty left (and I have had it nearly a year);

                            It is utterly remarkable when you consider that the bulk of my mileage is in London traffic and during peak hours too. I was looking at a three year old Audi A6 with nearly 70k on the clock and already hearing horror stories about DMF's and clutches (very nice car though) when this one caught our eye. It was partly prompted by a visit to a Vauxhall dealer to look at a brand new Insignia because they were offering 5 years free servicing and 5 years interest free -- the guy at the Vauxhall dealer was a bit if an eejit, and his comments made us go and look at a Qashqai just to prove him wrong. 9 months old, 9000 miles on the clock, remainder of the three year warranty, no road tax and a frugal wee 1.5 engine - - it was a bit of a no-brainer really.

                            Its no sports car, but it is no slouch either - perfectly adequate for UK roads, and probably the most comfortable car I have had barring the Volvos and the Jags. I was putting £120 to £140 a month in the Audi's tank, this one averages £60 to £70 a month.

                              It certainly is, i was looking at the A6 but this came along at the right money, most of the running gear is ford so parts are cheap i installed brake pads all round for around £24,

                              It did have a starting problem i read up and a ECU re flash was recommended anyhow it cured it thankfully £60 the garage was trying to sell me four new injectors for around £1000 installed.
