Bargain! And what a cracker of a loaf  I can envisage it, still warm, with a drizzle of comb honey over it ;) *nom-nom-nom*

Reading this thread and looking at the pics has inspired me to buy some bread flour and yeast:snorky: I don't have a bread maker, so will be attempting to make it the traditional way.

I've found a recipe which uses olive oil and honey. Pic looks good but wondering if loaf might be too wet. Anyone made this?

@luciusmaximus I've not made a loaf with honey & olive oil, but I often make ciabatta bread, that has olive oil in it & that's delicious, it's not wet at all. Let us know how your bread turns out, it sounds delicious :dbgrtmb:

                        Indeed! Hang on ....

... this link takes you to the PDF version of the bread machine recipe book that contains the recipe for the Cherry & Marzipan cake. It is on PDF page 20, but "booklet" page 38.

The recipe states to grate the marzipan. I tried that and it was hopeless! Might work if the marzipan was frozen first though :heehee: Or might work if blitzed in short bursts in a food processor? :noidea:

i almost always substitute the butter in any given recipe for olive oil or macadamia nut oil (far healthier & slightly more convenient to measure out) and the sugar for honey (again healthier and makes for a much yummier loaf imo) the only thing you need alter in the recipe is to allow for the extra liquid from the honey so whatever amount of water the recipe states just put a couple of Tbs less, and job done, tastier healthier bread :)
