      Good morning

I hope you are all ok?

I was chasing my tail yesterday at work & didn't get to reply to this post, not so busy today.

I did a three mile run this morning, I saw so many birds which was lovely, a deer leapt out in front of me, I'm not sure who was most scared me or the deer!

@moyra, Buttercup is still broody! I get her up every morning for breakfast & to make sure she has a drink. If I can get home during the day I get her up then too, she really is worrying me now it's been weeks :thud: she's very angry with it, she growls at me, pecks me & attacks my cat , everyday I think this can't go on any longer!

      Enjoy your day everyone :spinning:

Good morning everyone, not so nice out there this morning, think we are in for some rain shortly so must get Amber out before it does.
Shiney, do take things easy, don't want you laid up for Open Day!
Beckie sorry you are having so much trouble with Buttercup it does seem to be going on a long time.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

          Aloha everyone,

Mrs Shiney decided to prepare some of the patio for the grouting by digging out the old concrete. She was going to leave the grouting for Michael to do but, as rain is forecast, she did it herself. I was out in the garden at 5 a.m. sweeping the loose grouting off the patio and got two dust pans full. I didn't want the rain making it set on the paving. Back indoors by 6 a.m. and having a cuppa with my feet up.

I'm busy for the rest of the day and still have to prepare for the AGM I'm running this evening. Just finished writing my Chairman's report. :phew:

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

            Good Evening GC WW'ers

Sorry to hear that :grphg: but please, do not despair!
This won't come as any consolation, I'm sure, but my bantam who only recently came out of broody ... has today gone back!!!! :wallbanging: That's the trouble with some hens, the call of nature is just so strong (and they do only have small brains and ... can't count :wallbanging: ). This wasn't such an issue in my last garden because I was able to smuggle some fertilised eggs under a perpetual broody - even duck eggs  :heehee: I'll just have to keep vigilent and remove eggs from the laying hens frequently.

                  Aloha everyone,

After yesterday's steady Drizzle, which the garden loved, it's now brightening up. Just the right weather for Mrs Shiney to carry on repairing the patio :blue thumb: :heehee:

The squirrels are starting to proliferate but I'm hoping that they will move on before I have to deal with them :fingers crossed:

We're now writing lists of things to do in preparation for Open Day and when to schedule them in. It's amazing how many things will need doing, shopping that is needed and where to store things out of the way. We mustn't forget to bring the lawn protectors out of the loft. I bought them last year from a builders' trade centre and they were excellent in protecting the lawn around the plant sales area. The previous year the foot traffic completely wore away an area 50ft long and 3ft wide all around the plant tables and it took the rest of the year to recover. :rolleyespink:

I may pick up our hanging baskets today. They spend the Spring in a professional heated greenhouse :blue thumb:. Most year they are quite prolific by now but when we went to visit them a couple of weeks ago they were doing rather poorly. That's a similar story to a lot of things in the greenhouse and blowaways as well. :noidea: Although there are some plants for sale that are doing better then usual - especially Erysimums and Euphorbias, some of which are flowering nicely.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

Good morning all, pleased to say it is dry here at the moment but not sure for how long. Must get Amber out before it starts.
I have my pre op assessment on Wednesday, 25th May and my operation on Tuesday 31st May, so not long to wait.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless. :wub2:

thank you in advance for all the work that goes into preparing for the charity event, althought the weather doesn't help. It is a good temperature here, but a very moderate sunny day...trying I suppose. Hi Beckie, hi Zig...thank you for offering us yet another spectacular view of the meadows.
