I think that the doves have abandoned the nest. I might get up there tomorrow and see if there are any eggs in there.

One of our robins has decided to make a nest in the greenhouse. :noidea: He's building it on the shelf just behind the work area - behind some trays and pots. So those trays and pots are out of commission for the season

He has been taking the moss that Mrs Shiney has lined one of our large pots with :heehee: and doesn't seem to be bothered that I was walking in and out of the greenhouse. I was walking out when he decided to fly in with a mouthful. He flew into my chest, ignored me and carried on to the nest. :) I don't know whether he's the one that sometimes sits on my shoulder.

Well that's a shame Shiney, the eggs should have hatched by now, they might be unfertile, reason for them to abandon, if so I would remove eggs and nest and prevent them from building until after the event,

Really nice with the robin :), do you have power in the GH you will have to get them a fan for when it gets warm :).

Ringed Plovers and (at the back) Dunlin at the Fleet lagoon Weymouth, the Little Terns were too far away to see clearly in their fenced off protected area.

I had a two way fan in there until earlier this year. It packed up after 40 years! They don't make things to last nowadays  :heehee:

I looked at getting it replaced but it cost around £400. :rolleyespink:

The nest is in the shade, on the north side of the greenhouse and near the door. I'm more worried about Sarafi the cat getting them. He has his sleeping carpet at the other end of the benching - but it's 20ft away.

It's behind and below the green seed tray. Sarafi's carpet is on the shelf above and as far away as possible.

One of the neighbours (couple of hundred yards up the road) thinks they may be the pair that have been nesting in their garden the last few years. They said that half the time the nest ahs been abandoned.

Have dismantled the bird feeder (due to the move), the robin and mr & mrs blackbird that have come since I put it there have started to come into the garden tapping and pecking for the worms, brilliant to see. Not seen much of the coal tits or sparrows since though
