Here's a self seeded Aquilegia growing in an old sink. My garden is full of self seeded Aquilegias but I think this is the prettiest one

Terrible latter photo, looks washed out but it's actually very vibrant. The latter I quite like but the gf isn't keen, when my £1 Morrisons 'repens' variety is bigger next spring this'll replace the spot where I currently have the sempervirens!

These are a few things on the go in my garden in SW France. I've just planted a couple of oleanders by the front door today. uploadfromtaptalk1463854298557.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1463854315652.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1463854330957.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1463854340651.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1463854359300.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1463854374942.jpeg

                      Around my garden today.

The herbaceous border is coming along nicely.

Referring to my clematis further up the page, a couple of the flowers have been ravaged by the wind & rain a bit, and are pretty much a spent force, sadly. I'm aware you can deadhead / cut back group 2 clematis like Mrs Cholmondeley after the first show of flowers .... having never done this before I'm just a bit uncertain where exactly to cut back - could anyone advise? I'd be happy to cut it back/tidy the whole plant up now if it means I might get a second show later on in the summer. :help:

Well, since it's not entangled in anything else, you can cut back to the first bud [if there are any] or I would cut it back by a third if not.:dunno::snorky:
