      Only had one Bridgwater bean come up out of the first sowing

        Not keen on runners but I've sown a whole bunch of French so hopefully they will do well

          It's a local bean for local people :snork:

          Best tasting bean ever according to most, sort of half way between a runner and a French, but without that awful runner bean taste.

          Want me to send you one? You still in the tent ending 7JP ? at the Isle of Wight festival circa 1970? :biggrin:

                  My french beans have just started popping up over the last couple of days and thanks to Ziggy I've just planted half a dozen Bridgewater Beans :)

                    Bridgewater beans are so called because somerset in pots and somerset in the ground.

                        When I was a kid I'd sit hidden in the middle of the runner bean row and eat them raw, loved the taste.
