    Hello WW'ers

@liliana - sorry to hear you and Pete are still both going through the wars :grphg:

@moyra - will be thinking of you tomorrow; I'm sure they will point you in the right direction when you arrive :grphg:

@Zigs - enjoy your day as a holidaymaker :heehee:

@Trunky - oooh, do have fun at FIL's 90th birthday bash today! As he's the same age as the Queen, might be nice to put some bunting out in *his* honour ... why should he miss out on all the pomp just because his blood is the wrong colour ;) :heehee:

@shiney - oh, shiney, shiney, shiney :nonofinger: You do put your poor back through it, don't you :grphg: Thrilled for you that the weekend was a success though; maybe next year I'll be able to help :blue thumb:

@CanadianLori - glad you had fun at the Mopar Car Show; take extra care of your skin today so it can recover ;)

@Beckie76 - glad you enjoyed your Shiney Trip; oh and the plant sale you were not at yesterday and didn't buy anything at because you weren't there :heehee: :mute:

The weather is not one that screams: garden!!! So, I'll snuggle away in the office doing bits and bobs there instead.

Healing vibes being sent to all who are in need of them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

Thank you all for your get better wishes and even for your shaking a finger at me (I said, shaking! :heehee:).

I've had my massage and my back is improving. I've been doing a bit of tidying up out there - only things that don't need any bending. :)

We took just over £500 more than last year :dbgrtmb: and I'm just starting on drawing the raffle. Then I'll have to contact all the winners. That'll keep me busy for a few days.

@moyra It may be better to give the hospital a ring today and check how to go about things tomorrow. :blue thumb: Good luck :grphg:

      @liliana wish you better :grphg:

I'll get your sandwich making equipment ready . You can bring your asparagus hand with you. ;)

I posted my yawn yawn wakey wakey on the Shineyland thread this morning , there's no hope really is there?? :lunapic 130165696578242 5:, no need to answer that:heehee:.

I've just popped on here tonight to make you all laugh! I got back home this evening & decided to sort out some pots, I piled them up at the front at end of last autumn, I was just getting organised & Mr Rat-a-tat-tat ran over my foot! :nonofinger: War is now declared, :paladin: needless to say a few choice words came out of my mouth :mute: & I apparently jumped in the air, Kev laughed so much he had tears rolling down his cheeks .
The greenhouse is up & running & the rat hole is well & truely blocked off :dbgrtmb:, I've dug the veggie plot over so there's no need for him to go on the plot, Kev has strimmed the long grass at the front (which I was leaving for wildlife) so hopefully thats enough to put Mr Rat-a-tat-tat off, I've set the trap & put some hen food on it to try to attract him :paladin:. Fingers crossed we catch him tonight! :fingers crossed:

            Night all :grphg:

                Aloha everyone,

After three massages yesterday I'm now able to get out of a chair without help :blue thumb:. The gardening ban has been extended a few days! :noidea: :snorky:

@moyra Good luck at the hospital. :grphg:

I'm now working on holidays and am booking some shorter ones instead of one very long one. :dbgrtmb:

@Beckie76 I don't know whether you've managed to trace where Mr Rat has a regular route but they usually like to run along edges of walls where possible. That's the best place to put a trap. If they have a regular run you may be able to see a slightly greasy line along the wall as it's the natural oils in their fur. They do, literally, run alongside the wall with their side touching it.

It's very windy and peeing down so I can stop having to move the sprinkler around. Some of the plants have been really suffering from drought . This rain will help the lawn recover. :hapydancsmil:

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Morning all.

It's absolutely hideous here this morning; lashing rain, thunder and strong northerly winds, so glad it's my day off. I think I'll make it a housework day today.

Been outside and fed the hens, they looked none too impressed when I let them out. :chicken: Most of the garden seems to have survived, the broad beans have taken a bit of a battering from the winds but are still just about standing.

@Beckie76 Is your Kev working at the Suffolk Showground today? If he is, I don't envy him that, let's hope things improve as the day goes on. My daughter will be there today too helping with the preparations, as her company has a stand at the show. I'm sure I'll hear all about it when she arrives here this evening. :rolleyespink:

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and best wishes to those feeling a bit poorly.

                    Good morning,

What a miserable day, it's more like October than May! The wind & rain has bent my delphiniums right over , we did need the rain though so I can't really complain. The hens are standing under their covered area looking rather said, I will make them some scrambled eggs before I go to work, that should cheer them up!

Kev is disappointed he should be at the Suffolk show ground, helping to prep the stand today, that's going to be near impossible, I have a feeling that's going to be a wash out , it's such a shame because everyone puts in so much effort to make it look nice.
@Trunky, Oh golly your poor daughter, I hope she's able to get out of the wind & rain :grphg:, it's such a shame for everyone involved. I hope the weather improves tomorrow :blue thumb:

@shiney I think the rat is now living under my coal box, I've found two holes in the soil & we can clearly see where he has been running along the fence, if we haven't had any luck catching him this week then I will move the coal & coal box next weekend :phew: that's a big job! The biggest problem is there's always a food source here, with the hen feed & bird feed, if the little beast was hungry he would be easier to catch! I will get him :fingers crossed:

@moyra I hope all goes well at the hospital today, I shall keep you in my thoughts :grphg:

Best I get a move on :hapfeet:enjoy your day :coffee:

Well folks, phoned the hospital a couple of times yesterday and drew a blank. Apparently my stay at the day unit has been cancelled and no bed has been booked for me on the main ward so I was told I would be wasting my time in attending. Looking at the weather outside I am not sorry especially has I have been up and down all night to the bathroom. I think my nerves got the better of me. Poor Amber has not been out yet but I opened up the patio doors and told her to do a wee on the patio under the gazebo's but she refused. It is coming down so hard am not really looking to go out in it. Time my dog learned that in certain circumstances compromises have to be made.

Well folks with the weather like it is, it is a good excuse to have a lazy day. Beckie hope you catch Mr. Ratty.

Have a leisurely day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

@Trunky @Beckie76 I think the weather is supposed to improve for the Show but it will depend on how well the rain soaks into the dry ground today. The forecast is dull with possible drizzle tomorrow and brightening up on Thursday.

                          Morning early people :)

                          That's not good Moyra

Tried to move your post yesterday Beckie but my inline moderation tools still aren't working

Dry as an Egyptian mummie's antiperspirant here, even things in the ground are wilting :yikes:

Camera must have had a stroke, it's working again now but thinks its January again, the month I bought it

Have a good day everyone and don't get thrips :)

that my hay fever ones were not in the box, so had not been taking them for 3 days, no wonder
I was suffering. Add to that, I had been clearing a load of ivy hanging over our neighbours, which
is under a tree loaded with pollen, I looked like images (1).jpg .

Now, had to dose up, stick stuff up my nose, you name it, I've filled it.

Indoors for me for a couple of days.

Hope you all have a good day, and as Zigs said, don't get Thrips.
