greenfingered newbie(from aberdeen)

    hi guys(scott here from aberdeen) just wanted to introduce myself to ev1,just starting out in the gardening world as new hobby due to being practically housebound after motorbike smash in 2008 which left me with life changing injuries,but enuff bout me,im starting with a (1)new herb raised garden and (2)strawberry patch and (3)tomato and veg bed,herb garden is 1mx1mx60cm,strawb patch is 1.25mx35cmx35cm,and small veg patch for tomatos etc is 60cmx60cmx45cm,so starting out small and hopefully take it from there and learn a little bout herb n veg n fruit growing,the rest of the gardens (3 of)are the partner's(debbie) she does all the proper gardening etc and boy does she do a grand job of making it look nice (also makes it look easy)which it aint as im learning,il try get some pics up and let you guys see how im getting on and hopefully get some helpful tips and knowledge from all u green fingered fanatics out there thx guys and hope to tlk with u all soon

        Welcome to Gardeners Corner Scott. :) I'm sorry to hear of your injuries but it's great that you're adjusting to a different way of life. Gardening is one of the most therapeutic hobbies we can have (not so sure about that at times :biggrin: ) and it's helped many members here on GC.

        We're a friendly and sometimes crazy bunch but we're all willing to help each other out along the way. Enjoy your gardening. :)

        Hi Scott, just down the coast near Montrose/Arbroath, if this weather keeps up we should get a decent harvest this year.
