    Good morning everyone,
Shiney, glad your gathering went well and it was fine enough to eat out in the garden.
M, what a dilemma! I hope you can come up with something but maybe being a Land Girl maybe not such a bad idea?!
Beckie, hope you have recovered from all your dancing and frivolity and are ready for the next lot.
Zigs, glad you got your guttering done but please don't pray for rain! I for one have had enough.

Have a good day all, take care, stay warm and dry and above all else stay safe and well. God bless.

      Aloha everyone,

Well, I didn't get around to mowing yesterday - but I did get the mower out :heehee:. It got too hot so I wandered round the garden taking photos. Sarafi decided to join me on my perambulations.

He was quite happy at first

      Then he started demanding attention
      P1280536.JPG

And finally stopped me in my tracks! :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

        Good morning all,

I hope you are all well.

Beautiful day her, I wish I didn't have to go to work if I'm honest!

Birthday party at my step sisters was ok, my step mother was there (I've only spoken to her three times in my life!) she's a lovely woman but boy did she put up with a lot from my father. It appears the children all have their individual problems with him too, I wasn't suprised by anything they said they basically confirmed everything my mother had told me. I know the best thing for me to do after the wedding next weekend is to take a large step away from them, I think I shall just go for the service & once the evening guests turn up it will be time to go, I wont be drinking, I shall just do my duty & smile, I shall treat it like a work function!

I did a bit of gardening yesterday which was very nice, I've planted up a second row of peas, 2 courgettes & sown some French beans, I can't wait for those to be ready :dbgrtmb:. I might put in a row of carrots before I go back out to work:snorky:.

I hope you all have a lovely day, enjoy the sunshine

                      Aloha everyone,

It was a hot day yesterday and looks like a warm start to today - with rain coming this afternoon.

Some of our bean plants are now climbing like mad whilst the others are needing some encouragement. I try to help them if they're not climbing as some tend to try and grow in every direction but up the canes. So I gently tie them to the canes with wool. I wrap them around the canes in the proper direction and it seems to get them started better. They were planted out the week of Open Day and were about 9" - 12" high. Now, some of them are 3' - 4' high. :blue thumb:

Lots of things to do today.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

I hope you are all on top form today :hapydancsmil:.

I've decided not to go to the wedding & have sent my apologies, I gave the situation a lot of thought yesterday & decided that the whole situation was making me really stressed. After sending my apologies I felt that a weight had been lifted off my shoulders & last night I slept right through the night :dbgrtmb:.

On to nicer news...it's a lovely day here, beautiful sunshine already , the birds are singing & the sky is blue with a few fluffy white clouds :hapfeet:.

My potatoes are starting to flower, it won't be long before they will be ready, yummy yummy yum yum! :snorky:

I hope the interview goes well @Zigs :dbgrtmb:

@moyra I hope you are ok? :grphg:

I might just pop out into the garden for 10mins before I leave for work :heehee:.

                          Enjoy your day folks :hapydancsmil:

Good (late) afternoon to you all

Yesterday was pretty hectic as some of the cottages had decided they were going to put their bunting up. I was already on my way out so mine had to wait until I came back. We all mucked in together and, even if I do say so myself, it is all looking very "festive" with Union Jacks adorning the fronts of a good number of the cottages/houses. Even the newest neighbour, who only moved here in March (and even then it was into a virtually derelict building - which he has worked like a Trojan on ever since) has put bunting and flags on the scaffolding :heehee:
Even though all my bunting is up, I still have a display which I intend putting up/out on Friday morning; so, it was interesting to hear that for the others, the bunting is as far as they are going with it. With any luck we will win "Best Dressed Street" and I'm hoping my display will go a little towards that. Even if it doesn't, no one can say I don't join in :heehee:

Thank you for the encouragement @moyra and very much appreciated it is too. So much so today I got over myself and bought a bib and braces overall from a local merchant and I'm going to go as a Land Girl and have a good old giggle with it  Biggest achievement is convincing Mr "M" that dressing up *will* be fun ... so, he's taken the shorter route and ordered a "Spiv" costume :heehee: He's not one for going out and socialising as such, so I know it is a big thing for him to not just give in and go to the village do but also, maybe even bigger, to join in the fancy dress so: respect to him (in my book)

Bravo to you on your assertiveness my lovely!!! I'm really proud of you for making a decision which is best for *you* and not going along because it is "expected" :grphg: You just need to do something nice with Kev instead :blue thumb:

Good job you listened to it :grphg:

@Zigs - posi vibes will be winging their way to you on Thursday from 1030hrs until 1200hrs :fingers crossed:

I've still got some more bits and bobs to make for my display, so that will keep me busy in the craft room and I still have some tweaks to make in the front garden in readiness for the "display" so that will be keeping me busy out side :heehee: Rain stopped play this afternoon, but now the weather is back to hot and humid.

Healing vibes for all in need of them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx
