      It's been horrible here today.

      Got up to 28 deg and not a cloud in the sky.

      It's just getting too hot now and i don't like it :(

      It's coming up to 5 weeks now since we had any rain. I remember it was like this last year as well and then the rain came all in one go for days on end in August.

          It was wall to wall sunshine this morning but now there's thick cloud. It's roasting. I'm hoping for a mega thunderstorm and I might get lucky according to the weather forecast. There's a severe weather warning for Merseyside - torrential rain, thunder and hail!! Bring it on!

            We haven't had rain for a good week, was promised some all weekend but it kept changing day to day...as it does :rolleyespink: My lawn is looking slightly parched and I'm not watering it..pfft!!! Had 2 flashes of lightning, 2 claps of thunder and nothing else yesterday around half 9.. I'm praying for a thunderstorm like @Fern4 this afternoon, it's all grey and muggy :fingers crossed:

              My thoughts are with the father and his two children who got struck by lightning in Ireland this afternoon and for all those people that have been affected by the storms today especially those down in London:sad:

                Oh that's awful Kandy** I haven't watched/read any news today.

                Well clouds cleared-ish apart from the haze on the mountain and it's still boiling.. I want rain for once!

                    Been a horrid day today - very sticky and humid, with some thunder and lightning and torrential rain mid-afternoon. Some flooding around my part of the world (front garden was a swimming pool at one stage), but thankfully not as severe as it was over in Wallington.

                    Still very humid and oppressive feeling - we have every window and door open at the moment in the hope we will get a breath of air at some point, but so far there isn't any breeze. I had hoped that the thunderstorm earlier might have cleared the air a bit.

                        Not as bad as yesterday, only 25 deg. Still no rain :(

                        Been listening to the thunder for about two hours now and watching the dark clouds move up the Severn valley.

                            Checked the rain gauge 15mm up till now in the last hour, a mate of mine just 8 miles, as the crow flies, has not seen any, just heard the thunder.
                            Its coming down again now hard.

                            Its cold as well, just put a jumper on.
