You've got one of my favourite Roses there Michael, " Handel ", but we can't grow it as we have nowhere to grow a climber :(

 

That's a shame @Anthony Rogers , there are so many lovely climbing plants. It's a pitty you haven't got anywhere for them

 

Hi Michael,
I do grow climbers but mostly only annuals such as Sweet Peas .

I have a couple of Fuchsias ( Lady Boothby and Pink Fizz ) that are permanent because they don't take up so much room , oh and three Clematis.

It's just that a Rose would need a large space of its own which we haven't got.

I am amazed that this Ensete Maurelii survived two winter nights of -6/7c when I lost less delicate plants.

Tradescantia, this must have come in with something else, may be Bluebells given to us as I didn't plant it. As it fills a gap I leave it there.


Tropical bed, not ideal as it faces north, totally wrong aspect!
