    Good afternoon folks,

I'm late on parade today! I've had a busy morning :phew:.

I'm a bad woman :nonofinger: I moved some papers on my desk this morning & found two thank you cards which I've forgotten to send , my grandad will be turning in his grave! I can hear him telling me off :thud:!

It's a lovely day here but I think we are in for a thunder storm later on.

I must dash, hope you are all ok :grphg:

    Bx :)

I was just cursing the garage to Steve and saying I was reluctant to phone them when the phone rang and it was them saying it was done. Not going to cost as much as they had estimated. The chap is coming to pick me up and take me back to the garage in the next 15 minutes or so.

              Aloha everyone,

I hope everyone's day ran as smoothly as ours. We had a fairly leisurely day of strolling for six hours (with stops for ice cream and tea and cakes :)). Then a rest followed by going to the cinema to see the new Jane Austen film 'Love and Friendship'. I rarely go to films but I enjoyed this one as it's a tongue in cheek, funny, version and the main character is superbly acted by Kate Beckinsale. After the film we went to a superb vegetarian Italian restaurant.

The weather forecast is good so another day out and about. :dbgrtmb:

No gardening and back is improving every day :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

Good morning Everyone, well the mechanic never came until gone twenty past four when I just had to take Amber for her ablutions. He was happy to wait while I did that and then went back to the garage with him. He said it was unusual for the Fiestas to rot away like that underneath and had it sat in water at any time. I then recall the valeting my cousin had done to it before he sold it to me and everything was soaking wet, they never extracted the water from it. It took about 18 months or more to dry out the inside but obviously the floor was still wet! He said yes that would explain it rotting from the inside out! He reckons the Fiestas are usually very good unlike the Ka that became very popular afterwards. I realize that when I look at my neighbours one which is not that old but already rusting away on the bodywork. Anyway £520 later I came home, renewed the insurance £213 which includes Stephen and no claims bonus and windscreen protection etc, £145 for tax and now I am set up for the year. Oh by the way the mileage I did last year 330 miles..............is it worth it YES! for the independence.

Glad you are having fun with your friends Shiney. WOO trust all is well in your nest dear.
Beckie, please don't tell me she is still broody! Zigs, no news yet?
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God Bless. :wub2:

                  Good morning,

Overcast here, but I'm hoping for some sunshine later on :fingers crossed:

A friend of mine has given me 2 garden chairs & a two seater sofa, she was going to throw them into the skip but they are in perfect condition! She had them in her summerhouse so they've never been outside! I can't wait to pick them up :hapydancsmil:, I've bought her a lovely orchid from M&S as a thank you.

@moyra Buttercup is still broody! :doh:I will lift her out of the coop soon, to make sure she has some breakfast! I'm pleased to hear that you've got your car back

@Zigs are news on the job front?

@shiney im pleased to hear your back is improving :hapydancsmil:

@CanadianLori I hope all is well with you?

I've got a busy day today so I'd better get a move on.

Yes, he is home now. It was only a mild seizure, so now the doctor's are going to keep an eye on him. He seems back to normal.

                            Aloha everyone,

Yesterday was another good day of gentle strolling with friends. The weather was good and we had a conversation with some lambs in a field we were crossing :). I think they came over to gawk at the funny two legged creatures :heehee:

In the evening we had a good Italian meal followed by a very good theatre performance.

The sun is trying to shine at the moment so we'll have a leisurely breakfast and then off again for another day of strolling punctuated by the usual pub break

Keep well and have a great day

Good morning everyone, no thank you no tractor for me. I love my little car. I guess I should phone the doctor today to see if he has heard from the surgeon, but not sure I can be bothered.
I am glad you are enjoying your day trips out Shiney with your friends, obviously good for your back.
