It was a great thread too David :blue thumb:

I'm sure one of my neighbour's has the tingitanus, will have to take a pic. She is no gardener and they come back beautifully every year for her @Anthony Rogers

Thank you, wiseowl.....ideally it would have been more timely to start it in the autumn. However, we are where we are and the new thread will take us through the flowering season.

          See Dave,
We are friendly, we're chatting already :)

You've just given me conflicting advice, I bought them as being told they're the only scented perennial Lathyrus :(

I too have come across flowers that are supposed to smell great yet have no scent - Nicotiana for one. How can a sweet pea be sweet if it has not sweet scent.

Think I'll buy a packet of seeds and see if I can't get some going - really need some good smelling things out there... :)

Some Nicotiana are scented, others aren't @CanadianLori. :)

Thank you Sheal. I purposely ordered seeds that were supposed to produce fragrant flowers After the previous year's gave me no smell. Now it is twice I got zero scent. Very dissappointed. Won't be ordering from that company again.....

                  :sign0016: to GC @David K

Lovely to have you join us.

Our local gardening club gave a talk on sweet peas back at the beginning of the year and very interesting it was too. Naturally I have forgotten most of it :heehee:

Looking forward to reading your posts and getting to know you around the forum

                  Welcome David

I've not been a member of any other gardening forum so I have nothing to compare GC to but it's a good humoured sort of place (apart from the odd old fart like me and a few moany other sorts I could mention :heehee:) and of course there is room for everyone.
