Here is a very special plant. I posted it in My Mediterranean Style Garden thread but thought some people might not have seen it. It is the Cheddar Pink. The only place it occurs naturally is the Somerset gorges. It is an endemic species which means it occurs naturally in no other place and is one of our few endemic plant species. A gardener friend of mine gave me this plant and it seems to like the dry stoney conditions I've created in this bed. Apparently it is quite hard to find growing in the wild these days due to too many people digging them up. This one my friend grew from cuttings as she had one (obtained legally) but she can only grow them in pots as they don't like her clay.

I was starting to regret the red camera purchase as in the begining my old argent one was doing a good job.

my red friend with a lens is a Nikon L840. It is a pretty camera that I got on offer one of my flips over the border this year. Think I'll start looking for more red flowering plants. :)

I had the same Geum a few years ago Martin but dug it out as the wind continually flattened it.
