Not much experience with gardening, mostly learning by trial and error which has worked ok so far!:) hopefully can learn a few things on here!

Recently built some raised beds and got the greenhouse in order as well as a bit of landscaping so now ready to start growing some veg so no doubt most of my que will be around that.

Half the garden is still a riot but getting there slowly. My long never-ending fight against horsetail in my garden keeps me busy enough!

Hopefully good weather keeps up, great being able to get out in the garden so much just now.

    Cheers!

      :sign0016: to GC @Ross4319

Your "trial and error" approach is how I began too :heehee: I give all of my plants two choices: thrive, or not! Thankfully, since joining GC, for some strange reason, most of my plants have chosen to thrive :noidea: ;)

I feel your pain with your battle against mares tail - had that in my previous garden. There was only a small amount when I first got there. One day the neighbour peered over the fence and said: "I've got loads of that in my garden!" The following year, mine had doubled

My main battle in this garden is bindweed (plus the neighbour who does not garden, at all, and lets it all get out of hand his side  ).

Delighted to hear you are enjoying good weather up in Glasgow - I was discussing the potential for building an ark down here  :heehee:

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums

      Welcome Ross.
Trial and error is part and parcel of gardening I think. As valuable as books and guides are, we are all working with nature and that tricky little thing called the weather.

Look forward to hearing your garden progress.
