Today the Daily Express can reveal ten new senior military names who support Brexit. They are: Major-General Robin Grist, Brigadier P.P. Rawlins, Captain Philip Stonor, Colonel Steve Davies, Colonel Ronnie Bradford, Colonel Alan Brown, Colonel Jonathan Campbell-James, Colonel Christopher Hendy, Group Captain Eric King, Group Captain John O'Sullivan, Group Captain Michael Smith and Group Captain Graham Thwaites. In a Veterans for Britain letter they say: “It is clear to us that the EU is determined to create its own permanent military force. Those who argue that this will never happen underestimate the deviousness of the EU elite who have shown repeatedly a ruthless determination to achieve their aims by stealth. The Express revealed that the UK has already signed up to this in the Lisbon Treaty and cannot escape the plans if there is a vote to Remain. SURELY WE HAVE TO VOTE LEAVE!!!
I have no intention of reading over a 1000 posts Anthony. I will ask again. As a so called democrat are you voting out?
I have this longstanding theory that we Brit's went out into the harsh, hard world, explored it, plundered nearly every country, probably left behind some good practices [and bad] when we left/got thrown out because of one thing.............we couldn't stand our own grey, rainy, cloudy, cold British weather, so we sailed off to sunny climes to create a global empire I've got a feeling that the Bureaucrats in the EU have taken notes and want to create a Federal Superstate/Empire but where individualism would be suppressed/discouraged and eventually erased. But, since our weather hasn't changed a jot over the centuries and is still the same grey, rainy, cloudy and cold weather why don't we use the referendum as a ship and sail off to a new independent future.
I don't know. It might be because we've claimed a Turkish blokes emblem as our flag. That's just a guess though. I really don't know why it is. It just is.
No, its down to the fact that that people like the national front claimed the English flag as its emblem some years ago.
The cross of St George of course. St George hailed from the part of the world that today we call Turkey.
An interesting point @clueless1 . It seems that if a nation expresses pride, in their sporting team for instance, that's all good. But if the English do the same, 'we' get called arrogant. Never understood that
Yes. That always amused me. That they would take a flag of a foreigner, who was probably Muslim, and wave it with pride when protesting about foreigners, especially Muslims.
Might be the flag of a foreigner, I dont know about that, I'm no historian. All I know is, its the English part of the Union Flag. And as such we should be allowed to use it without being worried about upsetting anyone.
